And it explains a lot.
I should point out that the bicycle is, in fact, epiplectic, rather than epipleptic, which is, I suppose, the closest a present-day school could get to teaching the language.

Advent
We've waited long enough.
That's the general feeling of most actual Christians who really believe there'll be a Second Coming. For the record, most don't. Conservative "christians" certainly don't, or they wouldn't do what they do - Christ is a tool for them, and a rallying point, not a reality.
So, those of us who do believe say, "Enough! It's been 2,000 years!" Like the Jews before us, we cry "How long, O Lord? How long?!" We are crushed down, in a very real way, by the non-believers - not atheists or those of other faiths, but the non. believers. We want it to end.
I'm reminded of the opening to the animated film, Hulk vs. Thor - there's the description of Asgard, and of the Odinsleep, in which time all the evil beings come forth to assault the Realm Eternal. After the battle, Thor says he's tired of the killing, the war, the destruction, yet every year the same - year after year. Why can't we break the cycle? he asks. His beloved Sif says, "Be careful what you wish for, my love, for when the killing ceases, when the cycle is broken . . . then comes Ragnarok."
So, Advent . . . be careful what you wish for.
Personally, I'm all for The End - the lines are fairly clear to me, between sheep and goats; or, more precisely, humans and those who've opted for devolution. Entropy is overtaking humanity - I mean, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain are all on display as real, potential leadership -- and it's not a joke! We became complex and compassionate enough, on the whole, to build societies in which people are equal, reason prevails (in principal) over superstition, and the poor are not forgotten, and, now, we're in the Middle Ages with snazzier toys. So, I pray, in all earnestness, Come Lord Jesus.
Is that really what you want?

Boo-hoo! Mister Godwin! They's Bein' Mean!
Yeah.
I see what you mean.
Completely OTT to compare them to Nazis.
Yeah.
No liberal-guilt-oh-no-don't-say-that-cause-I'm-a-pansy-ass weakness at all.

Happy Thanksgiving
Well, it's that extry spacial time of year, that glorious day when we United-States-types come together with our families to gang up on God and tell Him what we're thankful for so He'll do it again, if He knows what's good for Him.
Me, I'm thankful I'm not like that publican over there.
I'm thankful for all of you, except rich people, who are parasites, and I'm thankful they can hurt like the rest of us.
I'm thankful for families - Mom, Dad, Junior, Sis . . . and Uncle Todd, who waves his penis.
I'm thankful for the Hadron Collider, 'cause eventually that sucker's gonna open up a window to another dimension and my allow my real people through.
I'm thankful for Charles Addams, and all he did to promote true family values.
I'm thankful for Mola Ram, and his display of Thanksgiving spirit:
Finally, I'd like to finish on a cheerful note . . .
. . but this was all I could find:

What's It Going to Take Mr. President?
It wasn't just one death, 48 years ago.
And it was at a time when another personable, promising young Democratic president was making promises.
Well, this time, it's American billionaires refusing to do any negotiating, and American cries for help being ignored by the president.
What's it going to take, Mr. President?

More and More . . .
I come in from a weekend away from human contact, news of the world, and find what has/is happening outside my own hopes, dreams, and realizations of what humanity is.
Humanity, I'm sad to say, is failing.
More and more, I find myself believing that it is the best thing for everyone if the whole species is put down like a rabid dog, and God is allowed to start all over.

Musing . . .
We hold this truth to be self-evident, that all men are created equal . . .
. . but do they stay that way?
I often think that pudding-proof of the need for people to be ruled is found in our allegedly-pluralistic-and-participatory nations. Representative governments are simply a ruling class, positions inherited with the purely symbolic vote. Indeed, the great mass of people remind me of the people of Lancre, in Pratchett's Discworld, outraged by their new king's attempts to introduce a parliament and voting - "We don't ask you to come down and help with getting the crops in, so why do you think we should do your job?!"
Unfortunately, since the normative view is the lowest-common-denominator of the laziest and most biased mind, representative government has raised a ruling class that is neither talented nor virtuous, simply greedy and sly. Perhaps it's time to use superior intelligence combined with compassion to establish a rule by those with actual insight and vision, removed from the possibility of personal profit by law.
People will be ruled - there's no help for it - it's just a question of whether we wish people like those around us every day to decide the rulers or if those of us who are intelligent and insightful will have the courage, will and self-denial to step up and take the reins from them and let them get on with leading the quietly self-interested lives they crave.

Sometimes, I Wish . . .
. . I could get close to human beings, share a life with one.
You really aren't so bad when you're not trying to become something you were never meant to be.

All Saints
I know it's a day we're supposed to list those we admire and emulate, but they even trimmed the thank-yous on the Oscars, and I've got way more to acknowledge than any director, producer, or actor.
